Accessible personalized prehabilitation support before your surgical or medical treatment

What is prehabilitation?

Prehabilitation (or prehab) involves building physical and mental health before major surgical and medical treatments to improve resilience, manage symptoms, and enhance recovery.

We believe routine wait times should be routine preparation time

PrehabRx builds smart patient support systems that help people get and stay in the best possible condition before, during, and after surgical or medical procedures.

“I think for just the average person, [prehabilitation] shares a lot of knowledge and I think knowledge is power and it gives someone the ability to take things into their own hands, where a lot of their control and power is being taken away from them.”

(Brahmbhatt et al., Frontiers in Oncology, 2020)

“I benefited a lot from [prehabilitation] because it caught me in that time just after diagnosis when things were pretty scary and pretty awful, and I felt like [prehabilitation] was one of the key pieces of my plan for positivity during this whole thing because it was setting a tone for recovery.”

Patient Journeys

  • To begin your PrehabRx journey, we first need to establish a baseline from which we can measure your success. During this 90 minute appointment we will review your relevant health history, guide you through a fitness evaluation, and discuss your goals. Once this step is complete, a custom prehab plan can be put together, a process which takes approximately 2-3 business days.

  • Once your custom prehab plan has been prepared we will review it with you, along with the results from your baseline evaluation. During this 60 minute appointment we will also guide you through your prescribed exercises and make any necessary adjustments to best suit your needs.

  • To help ensure your success with implementing your custom prehab plan and receiving the most health benefits from it, we’ve included 2 health coaching appointments. During these 60 minute appointments we will guide you through your prescribed exercise plan, offering progressions and support as it becomes easier.

  • Approximately 1-2 weeks leading up to your treatment we will guide you through a 60 minute re-evaluation appointment to measure your success. This also establishes a new baseline for you to strive for during your post-treatment recovery. Results from this re-evaluation are reviewed with you within 2-3 business days in a 30 minute appointment.
